David W. Kirch, Founding Partner

Mr. Kirch is the Founding Attorney of Kirch Law PC. His practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, real estate and related areas of the law. He is a Colorado native and served a year in Vietnam before returning to Colorado to complete his law school education.

He has consistently received Five Star ratings by clients and other attorneys, including being listed in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Elder Law and Trusts and Estates and was recognized in the 2025 edition of Super Lawyers Magazine for Estate Planning and Probate.

Over the years, he has received many other professional awards and recognitions, including 2025 Client Champion Silver Distinction; Lawyers.com Judicial Edition AV Preeminent (given to 5% of attorneys); and Judicial Edition (Highest Possible Rating in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards) based on opinions of members of the Bar and Judiciary.

Mr. Kirch has served as a lecturer on trusts and estates at the University of Denver Law School. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from California Lutheran College and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado, where he was a member of The Order of the Coif. Since 1998, he has been co-editor of the Estate and Trust Forum of the Colorado Lawyer and is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

Mr. Kirch is a past chairman of both the Trust and Estate Section and the Statutory Revisions Committee of the Probate and Trust Section of the Colorado Bar Association. From 2009 to 2019, he served as liaison between the Real Estate Section and the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
